Short description
Mojavari Gallery was founded in Cologne in 2001 and has been in Berlin-Mitte since 2008 until 2023.
The film “Heart” by Saeid Mojavari was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 1992.
Story
Saeid Mojavari was born in Iran and founded the Mojavari Gallery in Cologne in 2001. In 2008 the gallery moved to Berlin. In 2009 Carolin Mojavari, who studied painting at the University of Berlin, was added to this collection. In addition to their own works, the two also exhibit works by guest artists in the gallery.
Description of the location
The gallery is located at Koppenplatz 2 in Berlin Mitte, very close to Auguststraße in the gallery district, opposite the Koppendenkmal. The gallery is in the immediate vicinity of Hackescher Markt, not far from Museum Island and can be reached via Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station (S3, S5, S7), Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn station (S1, S2, S25), Oranienburger Tor (U6).
